Numerous projects are being set up through 7 sectors of excellence :

  • Marine economy (marine logistics and development)
  • Defence (safety and security)
  •  Tourism (sport and culture)
  • Food (well-being and health)
  • Environment (green transition and new energy sources)
  • Sustainable mobility (electric vehicles, smart mobility)
  • Digital economy (state-of-the-art technologies).

The TPM Metropolitan Authority is involved in most of these projects, which will enable the region to broaden its influence, strengthen its assets and establish long term its image as an outstanding destination at a global level.

Toulon enjoys an ideal central location along the Fos-Marseille-Nice coastline.

It is associated with storage and logistics infrastructures in PACA, with the aim of firmly establishing the activity in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. The economic jewel of “Greater Toulon”, which surrounds the Massif de la Sainte Baume, is therefore positioned as a driving force for economic development from Marseille to Nice

Thanks to its strategic positioning, accessibility and security, which makes it a suitable home for the largest military port in Europe, the Harbours of Toulon are the focus point of a port ecosystem offering great potential, making it the main lever for economic, tourist, industrial and sustainable development in the area. It is a preferred interface for engaging in activities linked to the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding area.
