Considered nowadays as a preferred stopover, off the beaten track and away from the hordes of tourists, the Harbours of Toulon and their Terminals at Toulon and La Seyne-sur-Mer are popular among Premium and Luxury passengers, while having the capacity to accommodate and handle vessels which are among the largest currently deployed in the Mediterranean.

A stopover right in the middle of the city ! 

The TPM Metropolitan Authority, with the support of the Southern Region, French Government and Europe, is improving air quality by installing in the Toulon Côte d’Azur Passenger Terminal infrastructures supporting Onshore Power Supply (OPS), allowing the ship’s engines to be shut down during stopovers. Thanks to an innovative energy mix combining the electricity and photovoltaic grid, the aim of these installations is to cut quay emissions by 80%.

A terminal intended specifically for cruises, capable of accommodating some of the largest cruise ships.

Located in the pathway of the prevailing winds, it means that ships can be  easily and safely moored whatever the weather conditions.

With it being used specifically for cruises, unlimited time slots can be scheduled for operations.

A sea shuttle service between the Terminal and Toulon city centre is being proposed.  It can be managed by the shipowners or organised by the terminal manager.

• Sailing time: 10 minutes.
• Up to 6 shuttles can be provided with an average capacity of 200 seats.

Large capacity for tour buses:  40 places available for buses within the terminal, directly at the foot of the ship.

Two options are available to welcome cruise stopovers on either side of the harbours in the Toulon city centre and at La Seyne-sur-Mer.

As part of continuing to offer a warm welcome within the Terminal, since 2013, Toulon has pioneered the use of the Cruise Friendly scheme, which has now been copied in numerous cruise destinations around the world.

This is a quality welcome charter aimed at local partners and service providers. Whether they are restaurateurs, shopkeepers, leisure, cultural or transport providers, by joining the scheme, all of them, when they come into contact with cruise visitors, undertake to offer our day visitors an unforgettable welcome.

The members of the scheme undertake in particular to be open on stopover days, to use foreign languages (at least the most common expressions) and provide a discount specifically for cruise customers.

In addition, with a view to ensuring maximum convenience for cruise visitors, services are also offered within the terminals at Toulon and La Seyne-sur-Mer.
